It's entirely possible, just use Access' security. I highly reccomend reading the security faq (I think there's one here, if not, I'll post one). Access security is semi-complex to set up, but when you understand it, you can see why it is that way, and why it should be that way. It works quite well.

Jdwm, this is also possible without using access security. Your users could still "break in" using VB scripts, but the average user wouldn't know how to do that. Take a look at faq181-1021.
