Restrict Access to Proprietary Project Data

I have .mpp files that must be released in electronic format to government agencies. However, these files contain proprietary cost and task data which I cannot disclose. Can anyone suggest a technique or methodology for releasing .mpp files while also securing/blocking the proprietary data? Thank you!
