Have a client who would like the ability to restrict one of their extensions to only be able to dial out to a specific number.
Any help appreciated.

Build a special ARS table that bars all numbers except emergency dialing (9-1-1 / 9-9-9 / 1-1-2) and the single destination you want.

User short code so external dialing uses the above ARS table.

...

Profit.

NOTE: I've yet to find a way to prevent a phone from calling numbers internally.

I think I would just make it a ring down. Lift the handset it calls the number.

Dermis and feline can be divorced by manifold methods.*

I hate the idea of a phone hanging on the wall that does not allow calls to emergency services.
That's just me though.

Thank you very much for the prompt responses.
I will let you know how I get on.

A bit late but I would tick the outgoing calls bared option in the user & as a user short code for the number with a feature of dial emergency.

This would also mean that emergency services would not be blocked which is always a good idea

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
