We've got a Primary and Secondary Server (as a standby currently in Read Only mode ) on a Log Shipping set up.
For the last week the TRN files have been backed up and moved across to the
Secondary Server - but I've discovered they haven't been restoring.

In other words , I have a bunch of TRN files sitting in a folder and that need to be restored.
1)Is it possible to catch up , while the servers remain in their existing modes?

Yes ... is ALL of the tlogs are still in the folder and you have NO LSN breaks (which would be caused by a missing TLog) you should be able to restore them and catch up.

I would first try to restore the oldest TLog you have in the folder just to make sure you are not missing any before the oldest one (due to a possible purge job on your server).

Remember to restore the TLog and keep it in a mode where you can restore the next TLogs.

Now if you have a bunch of TLogs you could write a script to restore them without you having not to go to too much trouble.

Now if there are a lot of TLogs ... you could just stop the log shipping job(s)/process(es) ... create a FULL backup and copy it over to the passive server and restore it (of course remembering to leave it in a state where the following tlogs can be restored to it) and then start you Log Shipping processes/jobs back up.

Thanks
