I need to do a restore. Unfortunately, the machine I need to restore is shot. So I want to take the last full backup of that machine and restore it on another machine. I am running Backup Exec 8.6 for Windows Servers. How do I restore to anothe rmachine?

First, I haven't done this.

Second, according to the documentation, click on Restore, then there is a Redirection tab. That's what you need. Click on that tab and enter the appropriate information.

Good Luck.

Yeah, I figured it out about 5 minutes after I posted here. Redirection is how you do it.

columbiavol,

The redirection work better when you restore like SQL Database to other server.

Restoring the the last full backup on other machine, is sort of not feasible ;)

but
SQLBIll, when I have a fullbackup the I will restore it on the same machine, will it work? can i ask for the procedure of the restoration?

Thanks,
