First, many thanks to Tek-Tips for adding this forum - I hope it is as popular as I anticipate!

Q:
Is is possible to extract one (or a mask-based few) files from a saveset? For example, I backup my data with the mask [data...]*.*;*. I may with to restore only the files in [data.clumsy.user]report*.*;*.

Can I do this?

yes, it is possible. You would simply use the /select parameter, for example:

$ backup -
data.bck/save/select=[data.clumsy.user]report*.*;* -
[destination directory]

Well, darned if this doesn't work as advertised! ;-{)
Thanks wallace88!
