I have a 2 cluster set up running oracle db. Our main cluster went down and the system drive has failed, it is now running on the secoond cluster. All server (master and client are solaris 8)

I need to restore the system drive but I'm having problems due to files being used (/users). And I can't take the other system offline (our main db)

My question is, how do i restore all the files needed for the root system drive. I've heard of something like setting up a dummy drive but can't find any documentation on it.

Anyone run into this sort of problem?
