Restoring one Mailbox instead of entire PO

it's safer too

although if you know his fid then you can get away with
renaming his userdb then copying his backup one in to the directory
opening mail - select it all and archive it
swap the db's back
then open mail again then unarchive

Will this also return all their attachments? All the attachments are located somewhere in the OFFILES folders. Will restoring the UserDB restore these files as well.

I will give it a shot on my backup GW server.

You should have no problem restoring just the userxxx.db, as Terry explained in his post, and having the exisiting attachments associated with that user once again . A users database has the pointer(s) to messages and attachments. His/Her database does not contain any messages or attachments, just pointers, messages headers, address books, and such.
Later!
