Restoring Mp3 files on FAT32

I've tried nearly everything to that i can find to restore my mp3 album collection that I accidently formatted when installed Windows 2000 Pro.

Most programs restore the mp3 files but they do not pass crc checks and when I listen to them they appear to be a mixture of stuff that was on the drive before it was formatted.

I have tried EasyRecovery Pro v6, R-Studio for FAT and a few smaller bodgy progs. Anyone have any last suggestions before I give up and flush the f#@(@g driving down the toilet :)
