restoring menus - office 2007

Hello

I have XP Pro with a new version of Office 2007. I hate the ribbons and want to remove them. Give me FILE, EDIT, etc... and I am a happy guy.

I know that there's a Chinese company that makes a tool that allows you to restore the menus but don't know if that's an inherent option in Office 2007.

Anyone?

Hi,

What I've done is customize the Quick Access Toolbar and place it below the existing toolbars. Each program can be customized so that the tools I use most often are obvious and easy to find. R/C on any tab and you'll see the customize option.

Hi psimon1,

Word 2007's UI is fundamentally different from earlier versions and does not offer the classic toolbars.

Having said that, there's a number of add-ins available from 3rd parties that emulate the old menu/toolbar functionality. See, for example:
