Restoring mailbox's

Hi there,

I'm a new exchange admin, want to restore user mailbox's to a new server. Basically old server is a bit flaky. So i have built a new server and am using backupexec to restore. But backupexec will not restore mailbox's to new server of different name. Someone suggested building a mirror exchange server with same name. Take original offline and then restore mailbox's to new server. Any idea's or some documentation on how to do this correctly?

Look through some earlier forums on Diaster recovery, most of which will contain the correct procedure for setting up a duplicate offline server.
If the server is in the same site as the old one, you may want to get the user out of e-mail, and use the Move Mailbox function that comes with Exchange.
