Restoring mailboxes from backup

I have a full backup of one of our servers and need to restore some emails from exchange 5.5 The original server no longer exist but I am doing the restore on a test server. With this being a different server how can I extract the emails from the backup tape. Using backupexec 8.5 - NT4
