Background
I amended a universe, saved locally then created a f/c report using newly amended universe. I exported the report and all worked fine (via webi) eventhough the amended universe was NOT exported to the repos(bad mistake). Several months later, I then import the - by now - old version of the universe which obviously overwrites my amended one. When I run the report I now get the "Obsolete objects message" as I never exported this amended universe to the repos.
My question is if I speak to our dba what table(s) do I need restoring to get me back to my "old" report. I appreciate that I am hosed as far as getting my old universe back but at least the report will work as it was before.
Any suggestions on how I can determine what objects are missing would also be appreciated. This is a complex report and would take me ages to recreate.
This report has 11 DPs and I believe it is the first one that has obsolete objects so if I delete the first DP will the other 10 be OK ?

Well, you sure are not the first one to make that mistake :(

You will probably experience that when you try to go to query panel you will also get the message about obsolete objects being removed.
What happens when you use the dataproviderSQL function to display the SQL of the first DP?
(grasping at straws here)

Somehow you need to deduce from the report variables which objects relate to the underlying tables/fields and then add those tables to the universe and assign the objects again to table-fields. I do not think you can restore otherwise.

Perhaps Steve/Sri / anybody else better idea?
