I am trying to restore a folder from a tape from 2008-06-23. The tape is a monthly tape which has been retrieved from our Monthly Tape Archives, but when I try to select the session to restore, I get a msg:

"The selected session has been pruned. Do you want to merge the session now?"

I assume the information on this backup in the Arcserve database has been removed, so how do I go about restoring the one folder on that tape?

Arcserve 7 for Netware. Thanks for your help.

Julian,

first make sure that you restore the data using an ARCServe for NETWARE version, otherwise it will not work.

If this is the case then fo to the ARCserve GUI, select utilities and then merge, choose the tape and choose to merge all sessions. start the merge job, when it is finished and all information is recorded in the database then you should be able to browse and recover your data.

regards

Martin
