I am attempting to restore files from a "successful" NetBackup 5.0 HP Unix 11.11 client, using an HP UX 11.11 media server to another HP Unix 11.11 server. The master server is running Windows 2000 SP4.

The restore generates the following entry in the tar log of the receiving client.
08:54:27 (93408.xxx) Restarted restore job id 93408 will require 1 image.
08:54:27 (93408.xxx) Media id AN1317 is needed for the restore.

It appears that you are attempting to restore an Oracle archive backup? This error is strange because it the type of error you would recieve when attempting to perform an Oracle archive backup and then could not remove the file after the tape backup completed. Have you tried to temporarily open all rights to the restore directory and rerun the restore?
