We use ArcServe 2000 on a windows 2000 server. We run nightly full backups and pull a tape out at the end of each month. The backup program prunes the database daily.

I need to restore a file from our May 2002 backup tape. When I loaded it in and selected the session from the Resore Wizard, I was prompted with the message that the session had been pruned and whether I wanted to merge it.

I selected yes to merge and then attempted to perform the restore. When I attempt to get the list of folders for the drive on which my file is located the list did not expand, although the information window indicates a large number of files are on the tape.

How do I get to these folders and files in order to complete the restore?

Run a merge job and select all sessions to merge. So it Shall be Written!
So it Shall be Done!!
