I am attempting to restore a DB I backed up from a different server. The back up files are stored on a different machine than the machine where SQL Server is housed. Even when I try to add a back up device it cannot see the folder. What am I doing wrong? Or do the files actually have to exist on the same machine as the SQL Server installation?
