Good day all.
What is the procedure for migrating a database from CXII to an SMBC given that both controllers are on MIVB10? Is it as simple as doing a backup on CXII and restoring it on SMBC?
Thank you.

Not sure if thats supported .
i would instead do export imports
- you run the risk with the different hardware that some data would not be restored

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Thanks for the response. The below is from "MiVoice Business
System Manual for Mitel SMB Controller" page 133, however it does not state how its done. I am interpreting it to mean there is a way of doing it.
"An easy way to migrate MiVoice Business installed on an MXe III, CXII, or AX
controllers to SMB controller, (back up the database, install 9.x, and restore the
database on the new controller).

if its in the manual then its supported

i would setup the smb first and then use an esm backup and restore that .
esm is done from system admin login (not from server-manager)

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

I wonder how restoring the DB will translate the TDM connections on the CX, if there are any. I would think there's some sort of DB conversion involved as I think the analog ports on the SMB controller are SIP conversions similar to the EX controller.
