restoring catalog

hi,
is it possible to restore a catalog file from serverA to a fresh installed
server named serverB ??

I've done it with v3.4-1 - worked, but the install path for Veritas had to be the same on the new server as on the old server.

BeasterBob , did you managed to recover the full backup too?
can you provide me with the recovery procedures?
i am having no luck here..
