Hi,

First, let me introduce my question. Before Christmas, we were using a MegaLink (near a PRI, I think) and has the Caller ID functionning properly. Since we do not have a front desk, the system was in Night mode to take the calls, and redistributing them to our offices. Everything was functionning properly. (Caller ID)

To reduce the phone bill, we then make a move. Now, we do have 4 standards phone lines as input to our system. Since I am not a guru in this field (Norstar modular SCI 4.0), we hired someone from our phone company to reprogram the entire system. This guy did everything, but now, the caller ID is not functionning anymore ... I tried to look in the **266344 , terminals and turn on the feature, but I am still getting "LineXXXX->Transfered" on my phone screen ... When I am in a call, I try the F811 thing, and I get "LineXXXX" for my Caller ID ..

Can someone help me restore my Caller ID feature ?

And since I am there, I have another question... This guy makes the system in order that we have to select an external line by pressing a button in order to make a call.. In the past, we had to dial "9" to get one of the avaible lines whitout pressing any keys. The problem is that he did not showed me how to reprogram another telephone to work like this .. can anyone tell me ?

Many thanks !!

Sébastien

Did you just cancel PRI for copper lines instead? if so did you order call id from the telco on the copper lines? do you have caller ID copper line cards in the system?

No, I do not have a caller ID copper line card in my system .. Supposing that I did order call ID on my copper lines, Do I absolutely need the line card in my system in order to make it work ??

Meanwhile, I will check to see if this feature was ordered ...

Thank you for your answer, it is really appreciated !

Sebas.

Call display option from the Telco, and a CI trunk card in the MICS. The only way with copper.
