restoring archived database after upgrade to 5.5j

I upgraded a rel 3 opt 11 to rel 5.50j with no problems but when I tried to restore the archived database I had it say restore was successful and to restart the system.SO I restarted the system The database never came into effect.. The system came up and I was able to log in with 0000..I tried it several times and the database doesn't come up????

Did you do the databse restore as part of the upgrade process (including the conversion to Long TN format) or did you attempt to restore the DB post-software upgrade?

If the latter, the db needs to be restored during the software installation process so that the TN's can be converted.
