I've set up a new network (completely seperate to our main network) to test exchange migration, and I was just wondering if it's possible to get a copy of the Active Directory from the backup tapes of the main network onto the new network.
The main reason I want to do this is so that I have a complete copy of all users and groups to test with the migration.

Do I have to restore the AD to an active Server, or can I restore the data to a new location (temp workstation, network location etc...) and then copy it onto a server on the test network??
