ARCserve 7sp4 , Windows XP, restoring via client agent to a Windows NT4 box.

We recently had to restore back to our datawarehouse because of a random deletion of tons of files. The house had to stay live so we restored while it was up and open. Option to overwrite only if newer was selected.

The restore from the weekends full backup went as expected.

Found a little surprise after applying the differential. At the end of the restore, an entry in the activity log stated: "Reboot BAL006_IP ( 10.1.1.20 ) in order to replace restored active files"

I don't have the ActiveFiles reghack in place so the restore *should* skip files in use as per normal operation. There's not much about this on the CA site.

What I need to know is how NT is going to apply these files during the next re-boot. I want to circumvent this and stop the automatic replacement.

I can't find anything in the activity or job log indicating what files are being held for the next re-boot.
