User can still receive internal mail even though the account is not in Groupwise view because Alias was deleted.
User cannot receive external emails though.
I do not want to loose any of her emails.
How do I restore the user's mail box so that she can get external emails and be listed in Groupwise view.
Thanks

i would just archive her whole mailbox, export the address book and then re-create the user, link it to the eDir user, and then restore the email from the archive and import the NAB file (address book).
There may be a less dramatic way to do it, but we need to know what version you're running, what backup you use, etc. This will not lose any email or contacts. (will lose contact groups)

I am using backupExec for Netware version 9.0
I have restored to a different machine and can access the mail box. The problem now is that I cannot archive mails that have an attachment.
Thanks for your help.

I believe attachments are saved in a different file from the messages. They are just linked to the message by pointers. If you are using the mailbox on a different server the attachemnts will not be found. I don't think you should be able to open any of the attachments either. It may work if you restore the othere files as well. I am not sure which one it is though. I think it is either msg.db or the user.db.

I have all the folderrs and files but I can't archive nor open the attachments. What I am missing. I get Groupwise error 8E03.
Any ideas?
