Scenario:
Exchange 2000
Need to restore a few messages from a single mailbox.
Nightly script stops information store service and copies priv1.edb and priv1.stm to dated folder on NAS so I have this info from the night before.
Setup temporary exchange 2000 server, coped priv1.edb and priv1.stm to new server, mounted.
The mailboxes now show up on the new server and have different stats than the current/live ones so I am quite sure so far the restore has gone well.
The problem is that the new mailboxes are not attached to any partiular account so I cannot open them to get the messages out.
Anyone remember how to do this...
