Hi there. maybe someone can help me with this
concern. I want restore winsock.dll and wsock32.dll to folders(dirs)\winnt\system32 and \winnt\system32\dllcache. if I rename ethier file to winsock.old I then have two
files out there(how come).winsock.dll and winsock.old. the same problem with renameing
wsock32.dll. Any ideas. thanks bos200.

Second attempt at post.

Windows protects its system files - remove/rename/replace one, it puts original back. What's wrong with your files that they need replacing? Suggest you use recovery console if you need to.

Hi wolluf:

Recently I took a hook on winsocks and
didnt know how to approach the problem. after
many tries to resolvue the problem and trying
to correct and use any means to get me back on the web. I remove TCP/IP and now I can't install the protocol. I found I nice program
called SYSteminfo from and ran it on my
system and it told me that winsock was ethier
damage or was to old. Until then if I
can restore both files winsock.dll and wsock32.dll I will proceed from there. both have have the date of 5-8-01..
