Restore Validate...

Hi all,

Thanks for any posts or replays...

I am currently trying to run a restore validate database command on an old 8i test instance we have (its on a solaris 8 box using an old sun tape drive and netbackup 5.1 for media layer).

In 8i is the syntax:

restore validate database;

or is it:

restore database validate;

everywhere I look it seems to be different for 8i as apposed to any 9i or above. There is nothing that leads me to think its a syntax error, but I have tried everything else and cannot think of a thing.

yeah thats what I looked at, hence my questioning over the syntax.
