Huh!

I have already wasted couple of days trying to restore my Windows NT 4.0 server on another one without any success (just blue screens ...). Is there any one who made it? Should I just quit this idea and install everything from scratch and configure manually?!

Thanks for any advice.

This is my setup:

Current server
HP DL580, 1 CPU (Pentium III Xeon 700MHz), 1.5 GB RAM, SmartArray 5300 (RAID ADG), 2 NTFS partitions, Windows NT 4.0 + SP6a, ArcServe 2000 Adv. + SP5

New server
HP DL580G2, 2 CPUs (Pentium IV Xeon 2.8GHz), 2 GB RAM, SmartArray 6400 (RAID ADG), 2 NTFS partitions

Regards,

Neven

New video - no problem since it will default to vga.
New SCSI controller - this can be done if the driver for the contoller in the new system is installed at the old system prior to the backup.
New mainboard using a different HAL- sorry out of luck, there is no way around this one.
