Hi,
I have taken backup thru "ufsdump" script as following.

mt -f /dev/rmt/1cn rew
ufsdump 0uf /dev/rmt/1cn /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0
ufsdump....
ufsdump....
mt -f /dev/rmt/1cn reoffl

Now I want to restore from this back up ...what I did..

$ mt -f /dev/rmt/1cn rew
$ /usr/lib/fs/ufs/ufsrestore ivfs /dev/rmt/1hn 5
Verify volume and initialize maps
Media block size is 64
Dump date: Tue Sep 26 01:52:29 2000
Dumped from: the epoch
Level 0 dump of /DB on solaris:/dev/md/dsk/d10
Label: none
Extract directories from tape
Initialize symbol table.
ufsrestore > ls
.:
2 *./ 1152 70/ 3 lost+found/
2 *../ 12288 77/

ufsrestore > cd 70
ufsrestore > add "filename"
ufsrestore > extract "filename"
You haven't read any volume yet.

specify the next volume # 5 (give no)

give volume name # /dev/rdsk…….etc

After giving above info. still it keeps asking to give volume no and name.. I am not able to restore the file or dir.
Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
