Hi !

I have a really big problem.

I want to restore some files from a backup, but ich keep a
status code 92 = media manager detected image that was not in tar format

The backup is stored on a SDLT-drive tape on a old system with solaris and netbackup 3.4. We use this system for our longtime archive. The tape was written a month ago.

I have read something about SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS and FIXED_LENGTH_BLOCK, here -->
but i dont know where and how i must do these entries.

I have read the troubleshooting guide, and theres is an option with expire the tape and so on, but i don´t know if this is good, or how should i do it.

I tried to import the tape on another backup system with solaris , NB 5 and sdlt-drives in a library but it doesn´t work, because on this system i kept the same error --> .. Import failed, tar had an unexpected error.

What can i do, i need this restore it is very important.

Please can anybody help ....

/usr/openv/netbackup/db/config/SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS
$INSTALL_DIR\Veritas\netbackup\db\config\SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS

it is a simple text file that contains the size that will be used.
