OK...here's the scenerio.

I recently converted our company from SBS 2003 to a Windows 2003 server based domain. Prior to the conversion, I did a full backup using Veritas' Exchange Agent.

I used exmerge to pull all of the mailboxes out of the store and put them into .pst files. I brought up the new domain with no problems. Everyone has their mailboxes and nothing was lost.

Now for the fun part. I was informed that there was a calendar hidden away deep within the default public folders that a department HAS to have. So, I did a catalog of my tapes and I can find the public folder on the set. When I attempt to restore them I get an error stating that the database must be created prior to doign the restore. The Public Folders store and directory structure exist. The pub1 files are on the drive.

What am I missing? I'm currently reloading another machine with the same name as the old one to see if that works, but I'm not confident that it will. Has anyone else ran into this problem? Any insight would be helpful

Thanks in advance.
