restore partially sucessful, but all tars return errorcode 0!? 1

Who can explan, the restore (to another client) was "partially sucessful" but all tars are returning error code 0 sucessful/no error!?
The verbose logfile does not tell very much more (since Windows cut's the logfiles with at about 130 characters)

Looks like the images on media 8552L1 were not restored.

What bothers me is that you have the tape ender listed as part of your tape number - L1. Veritas only supports 6 character bar codes, tape devices are typically defaulted to 8 characters but Veritas will truncate and use the last 6. L1 is the two characters used so that the reader knows it has reached the end of the tape, The robot can be configured to use 6 character so it will use the first 6.
