Is there any way I can restore the Personal address book in Groupwise 6.0 without a backup copy of a .nab file.? I have a tape backup of the server.

From your server backup tape restore the users User???.db file to a place other than the PO/Ofuser <dir>. Have the user logged out of their GW account, move or copy their current User???.db under the PO/ofuser <dir>. Copy the User???.db file restored from the backup to the PO/ofuser <dir>.

Then it is just a matter of logging in as the user and exporting the address book(s) you need. There is a possibility that you will receive a C071 error the first time you try to login with the restored User???.db file in place. Just keep trying to login, the error should go away after one or two login attempts. Once this is done log the user out of the GW client and replace the restored User???.db file with the current User???.db file. Then you can import the .nab file(s).
