Hi,

I've got Sun backup server and serveral NT clients.

Now we shutdown an NT client, and this hardware is
removed. Now, we need a restore from this original
client to another NT client.

the backup is still on tape, but NT is not browsable
from the Unix GUI.

How can we restore this file???

Hi,

you cann't restore Nt-Files to a Unix host.
Only NT to NT (W2k) or Unix to Unix.

Unix <-> NT (W2k) probabley in NW 7.x

If you want to restor to another client, fill in the user in remote access field in client resource (user@client.legato.com) or *@* for all users on all clients.

Go to Networker User on client.
Select directed recover
selecte your client from which you want to restore.
selecte your client to which you want to restore.
select file ....

bye

Rob.
