We currently have Legato 7.1.1 on a Solaris platform. One of the systems we back up is an exchange server. We run an NT Backup of the exchange database and then Legato backs up the NTBackup file. Right now this file is 62Gb in size. When I try to restore it back to the same system, it fails with an error of: Insufficient System resources. It gets about 36Gb when it fails. The available disk space on the drive it is being restored to is 132Gb and they have run PERFMON during the restore and do not see any memory or cpu utilization issues.

Any ideas?

Of course this is a rather extreme situation which i suspect very rare subscribers ever encountered.

My first question would be: Where does this message occur? - client, node or server? I bet it is the client.

I personally would increase memory on this machine although i do not really have a reason for that.

Hope it helps.

Look at the other thread - almost the exact same message. This is what i answered:

Actually, as you are the second guy just aking the same question, i googled for "Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service".

You will find a lot of hits in the internet and on MS's knowledgebase. Please check out.
