Restore NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 to default settings

I was messing around with the settings in my NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 and I really messed up some displays. Now my desktop will not even show my icons.

Can you anyone please tell me how to restore this to the default settings? I would be forever grateful.

If you're using Win 98, then do a scanreg /restore.
If using Win XP or 2000, then do a 'Last known good configuration' or a system restore.
