Restore Nupoint backup

Aloha,

We have a crashed Nupoint that we are trying to restore.

We have reloaded MSL and the Nupoint blades. From the server manager, web console, or ssh interface I can not see how to restore a nupoint backup.

I see how to make a backup, but not how to restore one. The only restore I see is fromt he server console & it appears to only be a backup of the MSL as it will not accept the nupoint backup. I would have bet it was under system maintenance then NPM backup but there is no restore option.

Can someone help me find this option?

May I ask how you obtained this backup?

What is the name?

The restore from the console is the correct one but I think it needs to restore from the defaul name smeserver.tar or some such.

Aloha,

Figured out that you have to shutdown and disable the modules before you can do a backup.

Backing up is so easy, restoring no so much.
