I'm on IBM x3655 server that has Adaptec RAID controller AIC-9580W. I have three SATA HDDs making up a RAID 5 array. The machine was running Windows Server 2003 R2. It broke down but using a Knoppix CD I was able to see the file system. But mistakenly I used ms-sys shell command to force a mbr fix for 2003. After that I was not even able to see the file system any more. Can any one tell me how to restore the MBR correctly?
