Hi,

we have had a server crash and have manged to recover some data onto a local drive. does anyone know if there is a way to restore this data so it can be seen/used.

thanks Hattersman

what type of data u have recovered. Is it operating system files, database files, document files and other. Also in which form u have recovered data. One possible solution is that u insert the recover data hard drive on secondary channel of the new server. The primary channel will contain the current operating system & data and restore the data from the hard drive. Kindly inform me about the result

Powerquest's Partition Magic 6 can recover entire partitions if they get lost, you can always boot into DOS if it's not lost (except for NTFS partitions - in which case it's always been easier for me to simply repair the OS). To be honest, there's not enough data in your letter to allow us to help you ..... we need to know

is the drive corrupt?
what file system was on it? OS?
What do you mean by 'crashed'? Is the problem hardware based? or simply a failed OS?
What type of data are you looking to recover?
