We have a backup of one disk(array) which needs 4 (200GB DLT) tapes.
Starting a restore of one file Arcserve 2000 takes the first tape, skips to the next, skips to the 3rd and shows 'Skipping' for one hour.
Then the job crashes and the Arcserve.log shows the following:

------------------------------------------------------------------

TAPE E6300 Windows NT SCSI PORT Error[ABSL:8010 CMD:11h] SCSI command Retry.

E3717 Unable to goto cluster. (CLUSTER=24602233, EC=UNIT ATTENTION:SCSI BUS Reset, drive power lost, or media chang)

E3842 Unable to find file. (FILE=\\M0002S3 ( 10.55.36.86 )\F:\Users\U0184\DATEIEN\Projekte\aktuell\Zeiterf\Projekt2003.xls, MEDIA=W-ARCHIV-FRI- 8/22/03)
----------------------------------------------------------------

If you use a backup which needs only 2 tapes everything is ok.
We tested this with different backups / tapesets, always the same.
We have Arcserve 2000 SP4

any ideas??

Using the restore wizard, it seemed to work. Then i got an Agent Error 8522. Failed to recieve data from client agent.
Then i restored with the wizard over network (without agent)and it worked.

strange world.
