Restore Exchnge 2000 Mailboxes

Hi have a trhead in veritas also for this but you guys may be faster hehe

situation is a server chrashed we have access to the files system and a backup tape also with the exchange agents etc.

is SBS server 2000 using verias backup exec 8.6 SBS version.

i need to restore the mailboxes from tape or filesystem on a server NOt RELATED IN ANY WAY

i assume you can restore mailboxes from a tape to any server but as of yet have had no sucess with veritas info on how to do it.

any way to get access to the mailboxes? i will use exmerge to dump to PST and transfer if i can get access.

all attempts to restore as of yet has been access denied.

anyone performed one of these things before etc ? is it possible and if so how?
