Restore Exchange-database Backup made in old version into new version

Hi,

I hope sombody can answer the following Question:

I have backupped a Exchange 2000 database via Arcserve 2000.

My question is, can I restore the tape with this database via Arcserve 11.5????

I'd say yes

while I haven't try this case, I did restore backup taken with Arcserve 11.1 using 11.5 SP1.
No probs at all.

Should do, but depends on whether the original backup was valid in the first place.

What do I mean by this ? The AS2000 Exchange agent was very problematic, personally I wouldn't trust any exchange backup that wasn't done with AS2000 SP5 applied.

If you run into problems there is a backward compatibility section in the admin or getting started guide on the 11.5 CD.
