Restore by Session view & Media Pools unavailable

Has anyone else experienced this problem? We have a win2000 Server machine with Arcserve 2000 Advanced Edition SP4. 2 days ago I had to kill 2 jobs that would not stop running by deleting the job file associated with it. Ever since then I've had problems with both my Restore by Session view and Media Pools. Basically what happens is that the session view is blank, I can't see any entries. This is the same with the Media Pools. The only solution at the moment: reboot the server, this fixes the problem. I guess I'll probably have to dabble into some db repair but I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this particular problem. Edmée de Klerk

Hi,

Manually playing around with the files might have caused some mismatch...

if you have another installation of ARCserve... trying using asmgr.exe from the other server....

however..
i'd start with a reinstall.....
