Hi

Hope there is someone out there that can help me. I have to install a wireless lan in a restaurant, the want to setup a hotspot for their clients, but they don't want them to download loads of things so that their adsl gets cap. What would be the best way to monitor this? If you can give me any advise or a nice howto address, it would be great.

Thx

First, I'd recommend you check out the "NoCat" project, also findable as "nocat auth"

This project is very much about enabled an internet cafe' style solution. I forget if it has bandwidth management as part of the solution.

If not, MicroTik RouterOS is more complicated and costs real money, but also has tons of capabilities to manage QoS and bandwidth.

Good luck!
