ARCserve 2000 sp4 on Windows 2000 pro sp2
Just wondering if anybody else is experiencing this - I updated to SP4 about three weeks back. Since then I've had to restart the Tape Engine three times.
In three separate instances - (2 restore jobs and one backup job) - the job would report media not found in the backup device while the correct media was mounted. The Device Manager could manipulate the tape library, no scsi port errors reported, no direct indication of a problem. Just a simple stop and Start of the engine would fix the problem.
I should mention that I also installed the manager on two workstations for remote management (Both sp4). I initially suspected that maybe the cause because the first restore job was built and submitted via a remote manager.
