Restart Numbering Based on Styles

I have several styles defined to facilitate writing comments to submitted materials.

Things_Number_Style
Things_Name_Style
1. Comment_Style
2. Comment_Style
3. Comment_Style
etc.

Things_Number_Style
Things_Name_Style
4. Comment_Style
5. Comment_Style
6. Comment_Style

Comment_Style uses automatic numbering.

Using the "Style for Following Paragraph" feature Comment_Style follows Things_Name_Style.

However, the numbering continues from the previous list. I can restart the numbering by right-clicking and choosing "Restart Numbering".

Is there any way to automagically restart numbering when Comment_Style follows Things_Name_Style?

I don't have 2003, so this is a guess. This is only a guess.

In Tools > Options, can you find an AutoCorrect tab? See what happens with Auto Number Lists. But this may make ANY numbering a manual process.

For reference, Auto Correct is directly under tools in 2003.

Ok, this is still a work in progress, but I've cobbled together the following.

Define three Paragraph styles:
Things_Number_Style
Things_Name_Style
Comment_Style

Define a List style
MyList

Link MyList Level 1 to the paragraph style Things_Number_Style. Set Level 1 numbering to "None"

Link MyList Level 2 to the paragraph style Things_Name_Style. Set Level 2 numbering to "None"

Link MyList Level 3 to the paragraph style Comment_Style. Set Level three numbering to "1, 2, 3...". Set Level 3 to "Restart Numbering After Level 2"

Set Things_Number_Style Following paragraph style to Things_Name_Style.

Set Things_Name_Style Following paragraph style to Comment_Style.

Set Comment_Style Following paragraph style to Comment_Style.

So, when typing, styles flow automatically down to comments, and continue at comments for as many comments as I care to type.

When I'm finished typing comment Back-Tab twice to bring be back to level 1 of the List style and it's linked paragraph style.
