Resoure Manager Question

It's installed from the main installer - it should be selected by default. Are you sure it's not installed already? CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk

I did a regular install of Metaframe XPe, then I installed FR-1 and finally FR-2. I don't see the Resource Manager icon in the CMC. I read that I could schedule regular reboots with the Resource Manager. Is there another way to schedule reqular reboots like we did with Metaframe 1.8? Thanks in advance for your reply.

When you installed FR1, did you install RM as a separate component (as it has to be with FR1)? If not, maybe that's why the installer didn't load it. Try re-running the installer and ensuring it's selected.
You can schedule reboots very simply by right-clicking the server(s) in the CMC and selecting Properties -> Reboot Schedule. You can also check (and set) the Feature Release level from here.
The only other thing I can think of is maybe you don't have XPe FR2 licenses installed?

When I installed FR1 I didn't see an option to install RM. However, since I am at FR2 do I have to uninstall it to reinstall FR1?
I do not have the Reboot Schedule option in the CMC.
The licenses tab in the CMC shows "Metaframe XP 1.0 for Windows, Feature Release 2" and another that shows "Feature Release 1" and finally one that shows "Metaframe XPe 1.0 English for Windows" and of course the connection packs.
Another question that I have is in regards to the Metaframe media. Although I bought licenses for Metaframe XPe, the media I received has Metaframe XP written on it. Is this the correct media?

You can schedule a reboot using the "tsshutdn" command in a batch file and running the batch file with the "at" command [sans quotes].
Syntax
tsshutdn [WaitTime] [/server:ServerName] [/reboot] [/powerdown] [/delay:LogOffDelay] [/v]

With XP 1.0 RM and IM had to be installed from a separate CD. FR1 then updates both of these products, if they are installed.
The Reboot schedule is part of Resource Manager, and only appears on the Properties page of the servers when RM is installed - so it would appear that it is not installed.
FR2 is a complete installation - everything is installed from the one MSI installer package. However, it will also update whichever FR1 components it finds already installed. Did you re-run the installer, and select Modify?
My media also say MetaFrame XP, but the box for 1.0 says MetaFrame XPe, and my licenses are all listed as MetaFrame XPe licenses. My FR1 and FR2 CDs don't specify XPe, but the licenses are the important bits - the media is exactly the same no matter which version you buy. The licenses activate the features.
