Im just trying to find out the best way to represent this scenario:
Resource1 working on a task from 01 Jan to 15 Jan.
Resource2 must assist Resource1 but can only start 08 Jan because he is working on another task till then.

I want to include Resource2 in the Resource1 task but then because he is working on another task 100% till 08 Jan he is overallocated from 01 Jan to 08 Jan.

Is the best way to create 2 tasks then: one for Resource1 (01 Jan-15 Jan) and then another for Resource2 (08 Jan - 15 Jan) even though its doing the same work?

Hi

I recommend that you use the 'task usage' view. First assign the resources to the task and then change your view to 'task usage' view. From here you can assign resource 1 to work from 1/1 till 1/15 and resource 2 to work from 1/8 till 1/15.

Hope this helps you!

Dora
