Are there any whitepaper or websites that describe how to get Resource Scheduling working correctly. I want to set up a resource just like most businesses would.

For example: There is "Conference Room 1" that needs a resource calendar. I have the Ex account setup and I've logged in and checked of the Automatically process meeting requests and update canellations boxes from Resource Scheduling in Outlook. But this doesn't seem to work.

Are there options I must adjust in ExAdmin for this to work. It seems strange to me to have these options available that say they will do exactly what I've described above, but then sites like exchangecode have scripts to do the same thing (and more).

Also note, I'd like to stay away from scripts if possible for security puproses.

Thanks, Mantislee

I am interested in the info that you have go ahead and send to mantislee@yahoo.com

I did get an answer from another list:

If you are going to use OL2000 to automatically accept meeting requests, then all clients must use OL2000, and all users must have read\write permissions over the resource mailbox.

It is this second point that is a show stopper for many...big-wigs don't want other people to be able to read their meeting agendas and such. If you use the Auto Accept scripts, uses do not require these permission (since you are just sending a message), and therefore cannot see such details regarding other users meetings.

This may not be a big deal in some organizations, for others it is a very big deal.
