I'm working in a recovery environment so everything might not be 100% functional.

Main server MAIL1 crashes. All mailboxes are recovered to MAIL2. MAIL1 is brought back online, but all mailboxes still reside on MAIL2. In Outlook, if you go to Tools, Options, Preference tab, Calendar Options, Resource Scheduling, it says:

The Connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.

The Outlook client is connected to the mail server, can send and receive mail, etc.

Any ideas? I'm not sure where to start on this one.

Also, just found out that people can't see other people's calendars. If you try to schedule a meeting, you just get a big long bar for each user; can't tell when they are free or not.

This problem has been corrected. The free/busy system folder was still pointing to MAIL1. The public folders containing the free/busy now resides on MAIL2. Updating that corrected the problem.
